Have you heard of Go Box?  It’s a great program which seeks to do away with disposable food containers.  It’s simple, for an $8.50 lifetime membership you get a token which you use at a local food cart.  The cart takes your token and gives you your food in a reusable container.  Eat your food, bring the container to a convenient dropoff box (like Pedal!) and receive a new token.  The container is sterilized and returned to the vendor.  Hopefully in a few years/decades the idea of buying food in a container that gets thrown away or worse, dumped somewhere in our beautiful state is an unbelievable horror story told to children.
