ABOUT PORTLAND
Located in the state of Oregon, Portland has been referred to as the "greenest city in the United States."
Approximately two million people live in the Portland metro area, which is known for strategic land-use planning and investment in public transit alternatives such as bicycling. Portland is known for its microbreweries and microdistilleries and as the home of the Portland Trail Blazers (NBA). The Portland climate is ideal for growing roses, and for more than a century, Portland has been known as "The City of Roses" with many rose gardens.
